Taro Takeuchi and Doc Rossi playing duets on English Guitars. The day also included an evening recital of Dowland and Francesco da Milano by Hopkinson Smith and a mini-recital of music for Chitarone by Zak Ozmo.

The day started with a talk on Baroque lute technique by Robert Barto

Esther Marsch, Christiane Pusch, Franz Gruss and Andrew Freeland gave a mini-recital of songs by Pierre Gu裲on, Thomas Morley and Anthoine Bo겳et.

The Julian Bream masterclass was devoted to performances by Peter Martin, Matthew Wadsworth and Mark Wheeler.

The Lute Society Recital: Robert Barto performed a programme including works by Weiss, Conradi, Reussner and Losy.

The day started with a talk on lute technique: "Beyond the Basics", by Ronn McFarlane
James Akers gave a mini-recital including pieces by Francesco da Milano.

Music Feast, first course: mini-recital of lute ayres by Lousia Perfect and Ulrike Goldstein
Music Feast, second course: mini-recital of songs by Jeni Melia and Chris Goodwin
Music Feast, third course: ‘Eliza is the Fairest Queen—ballads, ayres and dances from Elizabethan England’ by Ensemble Pantagruel: Mark Wheeler, Dominik Schneider and Hanna Morrison
And of course there was extra pudding.

The Lute Society Recital: Ronn McFarlane performed a programme including works by Francesco da Milano, Adrian Le Roy, and John Dowland, and his own compositions.

2004, January 17 meeting at the Art Workers' Guild, London

The morning vihuela building forum was to mark the publication of a CD ROM of all seven 16th century vihuela prints in facsimile. Peter Forrester and Alexander Batov led the discussions. Alexander showed his moulds used to build a vihuela with a vaulted, fluted back and Jacob Heringman gave a brief demonstration.

At the pre-lunch mini recital, Gordon Ferries played baroque guitar music, as heard on his recent CD.

Many people lunched at the Pizza Express in Southampton Row

After lunch Kenneth Be gave another mini recital of music from the Braye manuscript.

The afternoon talk was by Peter Forrester on cittern building.

The Lute Society Recital was by Joachim Held who played renaissance lute music from the Schele manuscript, with works by Joachim van den Hove, J.B. Besard, John Dowland, G. Kapsberger, Paulo d’Aragona and others.
